My name is Samantha Morales and I am 16 years old. I was born in Silver City, New Mexico. My inspiration for my drawing came from my dad. He thought it would be a great idea to draw the Gila Cliff Dwellings. I decided to incorporate the shadow of Mangas Coloradas, who is said to be my great-great-great-great-great grandfather on my grandma, Carmen S. Morales’ side. I’ve always been intrigued with who my ancestors were and am proud to be who I am. “A Cobre Indian”!
